Sign Communique
Sign Communique creates Deaf training and educational materials for both the Deaf and hearing communities. We believe in Sign Language as a community language, and we have produced two CD-ROMs to teach Sign Language to people of all ages along with videos.
Open Hands British Sign Language Courses in Manchester
Open Hands provides high quality training for all who wish to learn British Sign Language. We provide a range of courses from Level One to Level 3, all of which are Signature accredited. All classes are taught by our qualified and experienced Deaf team, and delivered in a fun, relaxed learning environment. Courses are taught in the Greater Manchester area.

The project was initiated in 1984 by Beverley School For The Deaf to meet the urgent need for visual reference material for all those wishing to learn British Sign Language.

SPIT is the leading national body for promoting British Sign Language interpreted performances of mainstream theatre. SPIT aims to provide a link between arts organisations and the Deaf community, and to ensure that the high standard of British theatre is accessible to Deaf and hard of hearing people.

Sign Dance Collective (SDC)
SDC founded in 2001 by David Bower and Isolte Avila, Signdance Collective develops original performances using signdance, the unique visual language they created over twenty years ago. In consistently innovative ways, SDC accesses both deaf and hearing audiences to ground breaking new dance theatre performances, through a blend of signdance, signdance improvisation, signsculpt, film, live music interpretation and new composition. SDC is committed to artistic collaboration, research and education with an inclusive collective of physically disabled, D/deaf, and non-disabled artists, all of whom are highly respected in their own fields.
Milan 1880 Congress
Milan 1880 is well known by many Deaf people around the world as the most alarming and key chapter in Deaf history – the infamous Milan 1880 Congress – that had created a turbulent and divided legacy in the education, the history and the lives of Deaf people to this day.

One to One Support Services is running levels 1 and 2 BSL courses and is open to learners of level 3 starting 1st September 2011. Levels 1 and 2 run as a evening class. Call for more details
