Milan 1880 is well known by many Deaf people around the world as the most alarming and key chapter in Deaf history – the infamous Milan 1880 Congress – that had created a turbulent and divided legacy in the education, the history and the lives of Deaf people to this day.

Here you will find an exciting community based on my life. CODA is an acronym for children of deaf adults. Meaning, I’m a hearing gal and I have two Deaf parents. Living in two worlds, hearing and Deaf as a child has had a great impact on me in life. There are others just like me, which I discovered later when I was 24 years old.

We are a virtual library -- an online collection of reference material and links intended to educate and inform people about Deaf cultures in Japan and the United States as well as deaf and hard of hearing related topics. While I have a bias towards cultural Deaf models, I have tried to include more material about hard of hearing issues as well.
