Equality & Human Rights Commission
The new Commission will be a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) and independent influential champion whose purpose is to reduce inequality, eliminate discrimination, strengthen good relations between people and protect human rights. This includes disability and takes over the role of Disability Right Commission.

The Hearing Aid Council
Hearing loss affects thousands of people in the UK. Making the decision to have your hearing tested and purchase a hearing aid is a significant one. The Hearing Aid Council is the government body that is responsible for setting standards of professional training, performance and conduct for individuals and companies involved in the assessment of hearing loss and subsequent sale of hearing aids.
