Our membership provides an effective working partnership between the Voluntary Sector, Social Work and Education Departments, NHS Trusts, Health Boards and the Government.

The British Tinnitus Association
Since its foundation in 1979, under the aegis of the RNID, and becoming an independent charity in 1991, the BTA has grown immensely. It now employs six members of staff in Sheffield and publishes over 30 information sheets and booklets on tinnitus and related subjects for lay and professional people.

Royal Association for Deaf people

Walsall Deaf People's Centre (WDPC)
We provide social and sporting activities, senior citizens and family groups, advice and guidance, communication support, mentoring and other personal assistance. We participate in local forums in co-operation with other disability organisations. We fund our activities through he teaching of innovative British Sign Language and Deaf Awareness programmes as a member of Walsall Community College.
LINK Centre for Deafened People
LINK's focus lies in helping people adjust to deafness in everyday living through rehabilitation and life skills programmes, training health care professionals in acquired deafness and conducting research that will advance the understanding of this type of deafness. We cater specifically for deafened people - people who have grown up with normal or near-normal hearing, then for one reason or another lost all or most of it. Deafened people can make limited or no use of hearing aids or an ordinary telephone, and heavily rely on lipreading or the written word.
Action for Deafness
We help thousands of people to communicate and enjoy a better quality of life by supplying help, support, advice and environmental aids. The organisation is core funded by West Sussex Social and Caring Services and works in partnership with many other local and national organisations including a contract with West Sussex PCT to provide audiology services for the over 50s in West Sussex.
Bromley Chain
Bromley Chain is a charity set up by parents of deaf children in Bromley and is run by both deaf and hearing members working together to support Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people living in Bromley.
Ear Foundation
The Ear Foundation is the only national UK charity to support and to provide activities, courses and resources for deaf children, young people and adults with cochlear implants, their families and supporting professionals.
Meniere's Society
The Meniere's Society was founded in 1984 by Mrs Marie Nobbs MBE to support people with Meniere's disease and those who care for them. The Society acquired charitable status in 1987 and by 1995 membership had grown to 2,200. With increased publicity about Meniere's disease and the improved services the Society offers, membership now stands at over 5,500. The Society's members are found in all parts of the UK, with a small number from other countries including Ireland, Spain, Australia and the USA.
