Durham Deafened Support
Durham Deafened Support was established in 1998 to promote the relief, integration, rehabilitation, welfare and education of people who have become isolated because of hearing loss, enabling them to cope with their disability through advocacy, support, education, information and other ways of helping them to understand and meet their communication needs.

We help thousands of people to communicate and enjoy a better quality of life by supplying help, support, advice and environmental aids. The organisation is core funded by West Sussex Social and Caring Services and works in partnership with many other local and national organisations including a contract with West Sussex PCT to provide audiology services for the over 50s in West Sussex.

The Meniere's Society was founded in 1984 by Mrs Marie Nobbs MBE to support people with Meniere's disease and those who care for them. The Society acquired charitable status in 1987 and by 1995 membership had grown to 2,200. With increased publicity about Meniere's disease and the improved services the Society offers, membership now stands at over 5,500. The Society's members are found in all parts of the UK, with a small number from other countries including Ireland, Spain, Australia and the USA.
Cornwall Deaf Association
Based in Truro we were founded in 1932. Our aim is to Support, advocate and help meet the needs of Deaf and Hard of hearing Adults and Children in Cornwall and the Isle of Scilly. There are estimated 93,000 people in Cornwall with some degree of hearing loss from moderate to profoundly Deaf. There are also 300 British Sign language users in the County.
