Personal blog with a twist. Blogging Against Disablism Day is an annual event in which disabled and non-disabled bloggers throughout the world unite in the cause of equality. On May 1st, bloggers shall write about their experiences, observations and thoughts about disability discrimination (disablism, sometimes ableism) and what we might do about it.
Benefits and Works (BW)
BW website was launched, in his spare time, in 2002 by Welfare Rights Worker Steve Donnison. It has rapidly grown into one of the UK\'s major providers of information about incapacity and disability benefits and is now Steve\'s full-time occupation.
Equality & Human Rights Commission
The new Commission will be a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) and independent influential champion whose purpose is to reduce inequality, eliminate discrimination, strengthen good relations between people and protect human rights. This includes disability and takes over the role of Disability Right Commission.

Deaf blogger blogging about personal and working life... The website is packed with useful snippet of information such as Equality Act 2010 (replaces Disability Discrimination Act 1995 in October 1st 2010) and also the latest on deaf related debates on issues important to deaf people.
