BID Services with Deaf People
BID provides a range of specialist support and advice to not only the Deaf community but people and organisations regarding Deaf issues. We have developed a reputation for providing innovative, high quality services to meet the needs of the community that we serve.
Walthamstow Deaf Club
Walthamstow Deaf Club exists to promote the British Sign Language within the local community of East London, and beyond. Our aim for this club is to ease access of communication and information for our deaf members and broaden deaf culture awareness amongst our hearing British Sign Language users members.
Cumbria Deaf Association (DeafVision)
DeafVision is the local voluntary organisation meeting the needs of some of the 60,000 people in Cumbria who are Deaf, deaf-blind, deafened or hard of hearing. We promote the place of deaf people in the community, supporting families and raising awareness of issues.

Working to encourage integration and equality between deaf and hearing people in all areas of life.
DEAF Lincs
DEAF Lincs is a registered charity run by a Board of Trustees and managed by professionals who provide support and advice to all deaf people to allow them to lead independent lives. We try to ensure there is access to all relevant information and services for all deaf people about anything concerning hearing loss.
Durham Deafened Support
Durham Deafened Support was established in 1998 to promote the relief, integration, rehabilitation, welfare and education of people who have become isolated because of hearing loss, enabling them to cope with their disability through advocacy, support, education, information and other ways of helping them to understand and meet their communication needs.
Royal Association for Deaf people
RAD works with the Deaf community, Deaf clubs, Deaf individuals and the parents of Deaf children. Most of our work is in London, the East of England and the Southeast of England.
North Notts Deaf Society
The Society covers the northern part of Nottinghamshire and is the focal point of activities for deaf and hard of hearing people. The aims of the Society are to promote and serve the needs of deaf and hard of hearing people and to actively campaign on their behalf.
Liberty
Liberty is one of the UK's oldest human rights and civil liberties organisations. Since 1934, we have been working to protect civil liberties and promote human rights.
Social Welfare Training
We provide a free on line 'at a glance' guide to benefit changes. We also provide public and in house training courses on welfare benefits. Social Welfare Training is run by Neil Arnott who is a trained teacher and Legal Aid Welfare Benefits Supervisor. He has been providing advice professionally since 1993.
Equality & Human Rights Commission
The new Commission will be a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) and independent influential champion whose purpose is to reduce inequality, eliminate discrimination, strengthen good relations between people and protect human rights. This includes disability and takes over the role of Disability Right Commission.
British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust
The British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust (BSLBT) was established in 2008 to increase the amount of sign-presented programming on television.
PLOD - Police Link Officers for Deaf people - Hampshire
Police Link Officers for Deaf people aim to promote equality of access to the police for people who are deaf, deafblind, deafened and hard of hearing in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We recognise that access means much more than how you get into a building or up the stairs! Access includes access to information and access to service. Whether you use Sign Language, Deafblind Manual or Lipread, the Link Officers are available to assist.

A charity that works with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community throughout Kent, is opening another of its free aftercare clinics for hearing aid users at the Queen Mother Court, Borstal Road in Rochester
Manchester Deaf Centre
Manchester Deaf Centre is run by a deaf-led board of trustees including deaf, hearing, deafened and hard of hearing members. The centre is a place for D/deaf, deaf-blind and hard of hearing people to meet and socialise. The centre runs an agency, Communication Support Service (CSS), which provides Sign Language Interpreters. There are also Linkworkers based at the centre to give advice and support on access to services

This is the ultimate online resource for subtitle users. Are you a DVD enthusiast who always checks that a DVD has English subtitles before buying? We provide social and sporting activities, senior citizens and family groups, advice and guidance, communication support, mentoring and other personal assistance. We participate in local forums in co-operation with other disability organisations. We fund our activities through he teaching of innovative British Sign Language and Deaf Awareness programmes as a member of Walsall Community College.

Government Equalities Office (GEO)
The GEO is the department responsible for equalities legislation and policy in the UK. The department was created by Parliamentary Statutory Instrument in October 2007. GEO is responsible for the Government’s overall strategy and priorities on equality issues and aims to improve equality and reduce discrimination and disadvantage for all, at work, in public and political life, and in people’s life chances.
